THINGS PRESENT

Many years ago in churches, we were taught the Word of God from men of God who truly believed that the Word of God is the Word of Truth.  They did not hopscotch across the Scriptures, choosing to teach what they believed they wanted us to hear.  They taught verse by verse, word for word, and gun-barrel straight.
And as we studied the words of the last book of the Bible, we learned about a world kingdom that will arise on the earth as well as a person by the name of Antichrist.  For us at that time, we believed that that time was far out into the distant future and that we would not likely live to see such a day or such a time.
Lo, and behold, here we are in the year 2012, and we are witnessing the revelation of the words of the prophets of God unfold in front of our eyes!
Jesus told us that many things that will happen before His return to earth, two of which are these:  He said as it was in the days of Noah before the flood destroyed the earth by water, and as it was in the days of the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah, which God destroyed with brimstone and fire.
In the days of Noah, people were consumed by wickedness and evil.  In the days of Sodom and Gomorrah, people were consumed by wickedness and evil.  What, then, shall we make of these things?
As you look across the landscape of the United States and other nations, what do you see?  Do you not see people consumed by wickedness and evil?  Does sin have any shame?  Do people blush anymore?  Behaviors that were done in darkness in times past, are they not out in the open and in the light of day?  On television and in movies, have they not put the words of profanity in the mouths of children?  Have they not done the same with animated characters children watch on television?  And parents laugh and think it is funny to hear little children curse.
The prophets of God also told us that there would be an age of apostasy, which is people turning away from Christ and going another direction; for it seems that so many people go to church, punch the timeclock, then trot along home to watch television.
Do you remember a television show from years ago that ended with the line:
"SEE YOU NEXT WEEK WITH A BRAND NEW SHOW!"?
Have churches become entertainment centers where we read the program and watch the show?
And there is more.  Hundreds of Christian churches have deserted Christ and joined hands with pagan religions!  A generation ago, those churches preached against the belief that they have now embraced with their hearts.
For those of us who still believe in the prophecies of God, our voices are expressing URGENCY that you seek Christ; for the days ahead will produce an evil upon the earth that the world has never seen before.  Please read the last book of the Bible and do it today that you will know the truth:
           The Revelation of Jesus Christ.
