THE BABYSITTER

The Super Bowl last Sunday night was viewed by more than one hundred million people worldwide, and for all of the adults that watched Madonna's half-time extravaganza, how many of them knew they were watching a Satanic ritual in front of their eyes?  Many did not know it then, and even if you had said anything during the program they would have not believed it; neither will they believe it today.
"Oh, Franky, don't tell me that!  It was just Madonna.  It was just entertainment."
Television has been America's greatest babysitter.  How many parents have said to their kids, "Go watch television"?  How many kids have said, "Mommy, I'm bored", and Mommy says, "Go watch television"?  Or, "After you do your homework, you can watch television."
How many of America's children have spent more hours under the watchful eye of television than they have under the watchful care of their parents?  And how many adults today---50, 60, 70 years old and older---still sit under the watchful of eye of televsion and still believe that everything they are watching is good and true and simple entertainment?
We have been discussing the depth of evil, but this blog is not saying that television in itself is evil; neither are we saying that you should stop watching television.  But we have also been discussing the depth of deception.
Have you ever investigated the people that program the programs you watch on television?
The people writing, filming, and acting on television programs are just like the people who enter churches and tell congregations that there are other ways to get to heaven other than through Christ alone---and you can still call yourself a Christian!
Therefore if you are a child of television and based on your belief of television for truth, then you are also a child of religion and a believer in other ways to heaven than through Christ alone; for religion wants to keep you as a child, believing as a child, and never wants you to become an adult and make your own decision.
So then, answer this question:  who or what has been and remains the greatest influence in your life?  Is it Christ, is it religion, or is it television?
Out of these three choices, what is the evidence of your belief?  This evidence is also the evidence of your faith.
