THE SOUND OF SILENCE

As I remember the days of my youth, I can still hear my parents yelling from the porch:  "Franky!  A storm is coming! Get in the house!"  At which time I ran as fast as I could to the house and was safe until the storm passed us by.  My parents knew the sound of silence before a storm.
Do you hear the sound of silence today?
If your ear is tuned to the Word of God, you can hear it; if not, however, you do not know what to listen for because you are unaware of the storm that is coming upon the United States and throughout the world.
The sound is spooky, it is a quiet sound, and it is an eerie sound.
For more than 2000 years, the prophets of God have been speaking to us from the Word of God. They have issued code reds, warning us of this coming danger of a great tribulation. And what are we doing to heed the warning?  What measures of preparation are we making?
   Is anybody praying?
When God's people pray, that gets God's attention!  When God's people pray, God listens!  And when God's people pray, God moves and does things that are truly amazing
The Lord said:  mine house shall be called an house of prayer for all people.  And I believe if churches will become houses of prayer across the nation some truly wonderful things can happen in the United States.
Even now, however, we are getting down to only a remnant of Bible-believing churches in the United States.  For, as discussed earlier, more than a hundred Christian churches have deserted the Lord to lock arms with that new religion Chrislam and the world church that is rising upon the earth. How many more will defect?
Furthermore, I believe if churches will return to being houses of prayer the Lord will hear us.  For on the Day of Pentecost, what were the believers doing when the Holy Spirit arrived?  They were praying!  People are born again in Christ when they are praying.  And great works of people for God are accomplished when their work for the Lord has its birth in prayer.  Songs, poetry, books, sermons all have power when they have their births in prayer.
The sound of silence:  you can hear it if you are praying.
