KNOWING THE TIME

     The Apostle Paul wrote:
This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.  For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, by denying the power thereof:  from such turn away. (II Timothy 3: 1-5).
     The Apostle Peter wrote:
The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.  But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.  (II Peter 3: 10-11)
     God speaks to false prophets:
The prophet that hath a dream, let him tell a dream; and he that hath my word, let him speak my word faithfully.  What is the chaff to the wheat? saith the LORD.  Is not my word like as a fire? saith the LORD; and like a hammer that breaketh the rock in pieces?  Therefore, behold, I am against the prophets, saith the LORD, that steal my words every one from his heighbour.  Behold, I am against the prophets, saith the LORD, that use their tongues, and say, He saith.  Behold, I am against them that prophesy false dreams, saith the LORD, and do tell them, and cause my people to err by their lies, and by their lightness; yet I sent them not, nor commanded them:  therefore they shall not profit this people at all, saith the LORD.  And when this people, or the prophet, or a priest, shall ask thee, saying, What is the burden of the LORD? thou shalt then say unto the, What burden?  I will even forsake you, saith the LORD.  And as for the prophet and the priest, and the people, that shall say, The burden of the LORD, I will even punish that man and his house.  (Jeremiah 23: 28-34)
God wants us to be informed and God wants us to the know the time.
The year 2012 will be an eventful year, but these events that will happen will not be delightful; for the events coming toward us are engineered out of the minds of evil people.
Therefore, it is sufficient to say believe in Christ, for He is our hope and He is our Ark; for without Him, there is no hope for a better tomorrow.
May God give you the gift of grace to believe this truth and also to know the time.
