HATERS OF GOD

   There is no nation on earth that exercises its right to freedom of speech to attack God, attack Christ, and attack the Bible more than this nation, the United States of America.
   Not only are these Americans proud of their hatred of God, Christ, and the Bible, but they are also proud to be among the masses of people to participate in the seasons of Christmas and Easter, which, to Christians, are holy days, but these days to them are simply holidays.
   These Americans are quick to spend their money on presents that their children so richly deserve, at Christmas as well as at Easter, but they also expect their parents and grand-parents to render unto them the gifts that will delight their hearts and fill the trunks of their cars as they drive home from the holidays.
   But then, as soon as the thrill of the holiday seasons are over, they quickly return to pointing their two-faced fingers at all the problems they see in churches as well as in Christians, and that we must be stupid to believe as we believe.
   Then, too, they are quick to say how much they love the people they say they love, as demonstrated by their hugs and kisses, while knowing that they have hatred in their hearts for God, Christ, and the Bible.
   In so doing, however, they are also training their children to be like them:  that they, too, will hate God, Christ, and the Bible, as much as themselves, and that they will have enjoyment in cursing the name of God and the name of Christ, just as they do as parents.
   On top of these things, many of these Americans actually desire to have their weddings and funerals conducted in churches where the Word of God is read by the ministers of God!
   Can you believe that?
   But then, as soon as "I do" or "ashes to ashes" have been spoken, their behaviors quickly return as their behaviors before:  hating God, Christ, and the Bible.
   Adam and Eve regretted the day when they ate fruit from the forbidden tree in the garden of Eden, but these Americans have no regrets while eating fruit from the same tree. 
   In fact, they enjoy  the taste of the knowledge of evil.
   They have no remorse for publicly denying God, Christ, and the Bible. 
   They experience no shame, guilt, or embarrassment for demonstrating their disrespect for churches and Christians.
   Christians do not hate haters of God, but, had it not been for Christ, haters of God would not hate Christians, which means they hate Christ first.
   Jesus said this would happen,
       "If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you.
         If ye were of the world, the world would love his own; but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.
        If I had not come and spoken unto them, they had not had sin; but now they have no cloak for their sin.
       He that hated me hateth my Father also."  (John 15: 18; 19; 22; 23)

ANTICIPATION

   After the resurrection of Jesus from death, we know the Lord lived on the earth forty days before His ascension to heaven.

      "To whom also he showed himself alive after his passion by many infallible proofs, being seen of them forty days, and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God:  But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you:  and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost parts of the earth."  (Acts 1: 3, 8)

   We also know that the Holy Spirit descended on the disciples of Christ on the day of Pentecost exactly ten days later, which was fifty days after the Lord's resurrection.

      "And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.  And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting."  (Acts 2: 1-2)

   God gives us signs so that we will know that something will happen from God out of heaven after the sign.  While we do not know what will exactly happen after the sign, we can, however, anticipate events to unfold according to God's plan.  As true believes in Christ, all we need to do is trust in God.

   From the solar eclipse sign of August 21, 2017, until September 30th is forty days, and from August 21 until October 10 is fifty days.

   Therefore,

      Should we anticipate something important to happen on September 30th, which is forty days from the solar eclipse sign?

      Should we anticipate something important to happen on October 10th, which is fifty days from the solar eclipse sign?

      Or, should we anticipate something important to happen on both days?

JUNGLE BOOK THEOLOGY

   There was a time when news journalists sought the truth, and they would not report their stories until they had received confirmation of the truth from at least one or two sources.
   Today, however, perhaps it is fair to say that most news journalists have no interest in truth, for they are just like politicians and heads of religions:  neither of which seeks the truth.
   These three---journalists, politicians, heads of religions---know  they are not telling the truth, for they know they are telling people exactly what people want to hear; and the people everywhere, nonetheless, believe in the journalists, politicians, and heads of religions, for they have found three sources that are in agreement with their own hearts.
   For these three and the people following them have exchanged the truth of God for a lie and they are proud of it:

      "Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever.  Amen."  (Romans 1: 25)

      "If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.  
        If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
       If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us."  (1st John 1: 8-10)

   In truth, they have their ears tuned to jungle book theology, for their belief is in the Serpent, rather than believing in the Son of God, who is Jesus Christ our Lord.

NOVOCAINE

   I am inclined to believe that the hearts of millions of Americans have been injected with novocaine, thereby deadening them to any pain that they could feel for the victims of earthquakes and hurricanes.
  Still, Americans look to television to tell them the news, for they believe in the word of television more than they believe in the word of God.  We have been warned that this would happen:

      "Behold, the days come, saith the Lord GOD, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the LORD:  and they shall wander from sea to see, and from the north even to the east, they shall run to and fro to seek the word of the LORD, and shall not find it."  (Amos 8: 11-12)

   We know the Bible is used in churches as well as for weddings and funerals, but, after that, where is the Bible in American families today?
   Even now, how many Americans are like children:  still walking on the Yellow Brick Road in search of the great the powerful Oz to give them everything they need:  courage, a brain, and a heart?  For it is clear that many Americans lack all three.

     "When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child; but when I became a man, I put away childish things."  (1st Corinthians 13: 11)

   But with the iPhone, it is also clear that Americans have not put away childish things, especially with their prideful selfies that they post online as well as photos of their childish pursuits for fun, and sports, and entertainment:  with a little religion on the side for good looks, or for good luck.
   Therefore, because Americans are blinded to the truth of God's word, they do not see this once great and powerful nation falling down in front of their eyes; for they choose to believe that this nation will continue as it as it has continued ever since our founding fathers fell asleep.

    "And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient."  (Romans 1: 28)

   A reprobate mind is a mind that is void of the knowledge of God, yet even reprobates will use the Bible for weddings and funerals to be legal and proper according to ceremonial rituals.  But after these events are over, the Bible disappears as the reprobates return for another injection of novocaine; for the Bible, to them, is no more than a collection of fables and fairytales deep in their dead hearts.

   "But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:  in whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them."  (2nd Corinthians 4: 3-4)

   

   

A WORLD WITHOUT LOVE

   Jesus said,
      "And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.  For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be."  (Matthew 24: 14, 21)

   God has His way of getting the attention of people, but, for millions of people, however, it will take the great tribulation to get their attention:  for these are the people who will be left behind after the rapture.

   After the rapture, the great tribulation will begin, the New World Order will seize control of people everywhere, and where will love be on the face of the earth?

   During this time, church buildings across America and around the world will be converted to pagan temples and the worship of Satan will be the religion of the day.  Bibles will be confiscated and burned. 

      "And they had a king to rule over them, which is the angel of the bottomless pit, whose name in the Hebrew tongue is Abaddon, but in the Greek tongue hath his name Apollyon."  (Revelation 9: 11)

   Lazarus had been dead four days when Jesus arrived at his funeral, during which time Jesus said,
   
      "I am the resurrection, and the life:  he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:  and whosever liveth and believeth in me shall never die.  Believeth thou this?"  (John 11: 25-26)

   During the great tribulation, many people will be given a second chance.  They will suddenly remember all the times they had heard about Christ, but rejected him, and many will believe in Christ and be saved from their sin.  But these people will pay the ultimate price and be killed by Satan's army of assassins.

      "And one of the elders answered, saying unto me, What are these which are arrayed in white robes? and whence came they?  And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest.  And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white with the blood of the Lamb.  Therefore are they before the throne of God, and serve him day and night in his temple:  and he that sitteth on the throne shall dwell among them."  (Revelation 7: 13-15)

TRACKING THE SIGN

   

 

   The solar eclipse of August 21, 2017, was a sign from God out of heaven for America and America only.
   The eclipse entered the United States in Oregon, the 33rd state, and exited South Carolina at the 33rd parallel, and the time from August 21 to September 23 is 33 days.
   Jesus lived 33 years.
   One name for God, which is Elohim, is mentioned 33 times in the Bible book of Genesis.
   Number 33 in the Bible means the promises of God.
   The International Space Station is tracking the sign for September 23, 2017, and we can be sure that the Vatican Observatory in Arizona is tracking the sign with its L.U.C.I.F.E.R. infrared telescope.
   Therefore, Satan's ministers, dressed in their fancy suits and priestly garments, know that something significant will happen on September 23 while Americans from shore to shore are watching the games that people play with their eyes firmly fixed on television and iPhones.
   Please remember:
      the people most likely to influence you not to believe in the Bible will be the people who have never read the Bible;
      the people most likely to influence you not to believe in Christ will be your best friends and family members;
      the people most likely to influence you to cling to that tree of religion will be the people you believe and trust the most, who are your best friends and family members;
      most of all, the people who will deceive you the most are those who have been deceived already, your best friends and family members.
   We now have but four days before the sign of September 23 is given. 
   What are you going to do then?
   What are you going to believe?
   These next four days could very well be God's last call.

   "Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, and will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty."  (2nd Corinthians 6: 17-18)
   

SECRECY

   Please remember that the trial of Jesus was conducted in secrecy because the priesthood of Israel did not want the people to know their plans to crucify the Lord.
   Jesus was arrested in darkness, His mock trial began in darkness, and He was taken to Pontius Pilate in darkness.
   So while Jerusalem slept, Jesus was being prepared for execution; and by the time the people stopped for lunch, Jesus was nailed to a cross.
   Many people will be surprised to learn that the government of the United States has been a secret operation since before the signing of the Constitution and the Bill of Rights by men in secret societies such as the Illuminati, Skull & Bones, Freemasonry, the Order of Jesuit Priests, which is the secret army of the Pope, and all other governments of nations worldwide.
   Prominent names of men in these secret societies include Kennedy, DuPont, Bush, and Kerry, just to name four.
   Therefore, we should be able to see and believe that the same men who built America will also destroy America because they are secret ministers of the Sun God, who is Satan, who is also known by the name Saturn.
   And the fall of America will come quickly.

       "Therefore shall her plagues come in ONE DAY, death, and mourning, and famine; and she shall be utterly burned with fire  for strong is the Lord God who judgeth her.  And the kings of the earth, who have committed fornication with her, shall bewail her, and lament for her, when they shall see her burning, standing afar off for the fear of her torment, saying, Alas, alas, that great city Babylon, that mighty city! for in ONE HOUR is thy judgment come."  (Revelation 18: 8-10)
 
    "And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakes of her sins, and that ye receive none of her plagues."  (Revelation 18: 4)

  What are we to learn from the Bible today?
  The word of the Lord is saying come to Christ today and be saved from your sins so that you will not be judged when Babylon U.S.A. falls.
   Jesus said,
      "And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be."  (Revelation 22: 12)

ALWAYS ON MY MIND

   Had it not been for the resurrection of Jesus from death, the whole world would have never heard of Him.
   Had it not been for the resurrection of Jesus from death, the New Testament of the Bible would have never been written.
   Had it not been for the resurrection of Jesus from death, there would have never been any churches anywhere in the world.
   And, had it not been for the resurrection of Jesus from death, there would have never been a holiday season that we call Christmas.
   Jesus has received more attention, or publicity, than any person, either dead or living, in human history.
   Up close and personal, let me tell you something:  I would have never confessed to God that I am a sinner, and I would have never invited Jesus into my heart to save me from my sins, if I had thought that Jesus was just a dead man.  Because I believe that Jesus is alive and is in heaven, however, and because I believe He has saved me from my sins, Jesus is on my mind every hour of every day.
   But what about you?  What do you believe? 
   Can you name one person, either dead or living, who is on your mind every hour of every day?   
   Can you name one person, either dead or living, who has received more attention, or publicity, than Jesus?
   Have you ever heard of people talking about a dead man, who can come into their hearts and save them from their sins while the bones of these dead people are still in the dirt?
   Therefore, if you will confess to God that you are a sinner, and if you will invite Jesus to come into your heart to save you from your sins, Jesus will be on your mind every hour of every day.

      "Wherefore God hath highly exalted him, and given him a name that is above every name:  that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father."  (Philippines 2: 9-11)

HURRICANE WARS

 The United States is currently
under an attack of hurricane
wars.

   Hurricanes Harvey and Irma have landed, hurricane Jose will be here on Monday, and two more hurricanes are forming in the sea.
   How long will Americans continue to sleep through the storms?
   How long will Americans continue to play the games that people play?
   How long will Americans continue to live in blindness  and not be able to read the writing that is on the wall?

      "MENE, MENE, TEKEL, UPHARSIN.  
           This is the interpretation of the thing:
           MENE; God hath numbered thy kingdom, and finished it.
           TEKEL; Thou are weighed in the balances, and art found wanting.
           PERES; Thy kingdom is divided,
           and given to the Medes and Persians."  (Daniel 5: 25-25)
        
     "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved."  (Romans 10: 9)

BE PREPARED

    Perhaps it would be wise for people

living in the Mid-Atlantic and the      Northeast States to be prepared for hurricane Jose.
  If Jose should die at sea, however, nothing will be lost; but if Jose stands up and marches to the shore, people could lose all of their possessions as well as their lives and the lives of their children.
  With 56 million people huddled together in the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast States, that is like mice in a chimney, and, if Jose is a Cat 3 hurricane, the loss of life could be enormous.

   Jesus said,
       "And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring; men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming upon the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken."  (Luke 21: 25-26)

  The reason God gives us signs is because God wants us to be informed and to know that things are coming on the earth.
  The solar eclipse on August 21 was a sign from God out of heaven; and, in less than one month, look at the billions of dollars of destruction and loss of life in Texas, Florida, and Georgia up to Atlanta.
   This should clearly be a lesson learned about the wrath of hurricanes. 
   But if people view Jose as just a little disturbance out in the sea and with nothing to be concerned about, they could easily be deceiving themselves and will not be prepared for hurricane Jose.
   This choice, of course, is up to people; but if they are wrong, they could also be buried in the water, even as far north as New York City.

   Again, Jesus said,
      "And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free."  (John 8: 32)

   The signs given to us from God out of heaven are truth, and people should therefore be prepared.

STORMS ACROSS AMERICA

   As you awaken each morning, and as your feet touch the floor, how much time passes before you think about your husband or wife, your boyfriend or girlfriend, or your children?
   How much time passes before you think about last night's football or baseball game, or some silly sitcom show you watched on television?
   How much time passes before you think about that certain person who always crawls under your skin at work and pesters you all the day long, and how you dread going to work all because of one person who seems destined to wreak your day?
   Could it be that your day begins by thinking about YOU and not others?

   Jesus said,
      "For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also?"  (Matthew 6: 21)

  Obviously, the things we treasure are the things we love, for the things we love are our talking points of the day.
   Obviously, too, we must admit that hurricanes Harvey and Irma have the attention of millions of Americans, and these are their talking points of the day.  But in the midst of these storms, how many people, however, are still concerned about the things they treasure, which are the things they love, and their attention, even this morning, is still on last night's football and baseball games and those silly sitcom shows they watched on television last night?
   Even on Sunday, just two days ago, people gathered in party huts and in their homes to root, root, root for their teams while hurricane Irma was bashing Florida. 
   Clearly, their hearts are in the things they treasure, which are the things they love, as their eyes were glued to their idols of the arenas.
   Could it be that God is bringing these storms across America to get the attention of a nation?  A nation that has forgotten God for all the many blessings we have received for more than two hundred years?
   These storms certainly have the attention of millions of evacuees, but, for millions of others, their attention is still on last night's baseball and football games, or those silly sitcom shows they watched on television as if the hurricanes are not a big deal and nothing to worry about.
   Above all else and most importantly, how much time passes each morning before you think about God?  And how much time passes before you begin to pray to meet your day?
   If not God, and if prayer to Him is not important to meet your day, then could it be that God does not have your attention because God is not your treasure, or the one you love?
   Therefore, if these hurricanes are not enough to get the attention of a nation, what will God do next?

   "If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:  But if we walk in the light, as he is the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin."  (1st John 1: 6-7)

  Please remember:  God still has hurricane Jose standing in the bay.  Will God restrain him, or release him?
  America must choose.

   "Choose you this day whom you will serve; but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD."   (Joshua 24: 15)



      

JOSE

   In twenty-days since the solar eclipse of August 21st, hurricanes Harvey and Irma have struck American money pits in Houston, Florida, and today in Atlanta, while hurricane Jose could be knocking on our door off the east coast by Saturday.
   Jose is a Biblical name and the meaning is:  Raised; one who Pardons.
   In the Bible, the name is usually associated with the name Joseph (JOSEph), and Joses is used many times in the New Testament; in fact, one of the half-brothers of Jesus is recorded as Joses in the New Testament.
   Is the name in hurricane Jose a sign from God that He will pardon?
   For the Bible says,

      "If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land."  (2nd Chronicles 7: 14)

PROUD TO BE AMERICAN

   The United States is a proud nation and Americans are proud to be American.
   Even though we have nothing to do with our births, we are proud of our skin colors and ethnicities, such as proud to be Irish, German, French, English, Hispanic, African-American, Asian-American, etc.
   We are proud to be men, proud to be women, proud to be transgender, and proud to be LBGTQ.
   We are proud to be married, male and female, and proud to have companions for life without marriage.
   We are also proud of our prideful nation where men marry men and women marry women, or at least have companionships for life.
   We are proud of our sports and entertainment programs and the stars of the shows that we idolize and with the desire that our children will grow up to be like them.
   We are proud of our beauty contests that begin in kindergarten where little girls are paraded on stages and all dressed up in mommy's clothes as living dolls.
   Above all else, I suppose, I should therefore be proud to be me and proud that I am not like you.
   The laundry list of our prideful ways can go on and on and on.
   While we have IN GOD WE TRUST stamped on our money for all the world to see, yet how many proud Americans trust in money more than they trust in God?
   Unless people retain the knowledge of God in their minds and in their hearts, they will live their lives as if God does not exist. 
   This behavior is abundantly clear in America because we are proud of all that money can do for us:  while leaving God on the outside looking in.  Because of pride, however, people do not even know that God is looking in because pride will erase the knowledge of God from their own minds.
   Where is God in the United States today?
   The United States has been blessed with more Bibles than any nation in human history, but where are the Bibles today, and why have Americans hidden the word of the Lord from themselves as well as from their on children?
   Because of pride! 
   We are proud that we can do everything our own way and proud to believe that even God does not exist:  because, after all, we are proud to be American and we are not ashamed to stand up and say so---while grinding the faces of people in the sand who dare say they believe in God, believe in Christ, and believe in the Bible.

   "As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:  there is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God.  
     They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.
     There is no fear of God before their eyes."   (Romans 3: 10-12; 18)

THE ROMAN ROAD

   "As it is written,
        There is none righteous, no, not one: 
        there is none that understandeth,
        there is none that seeketh after God."   
                  (Romans 3: 10-11)

   "For all have sinned
         and come short
            of the glory of God."
                  (Romans 3: 23)

   "For the wages of sin is death;
        but the gift of God
           is eternal life
        through Jesus Christ our Lord."
                (Romans 6: 23)

   "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus
        and believe in thine heart
            that God hath raised him from the dead,
               thou shalt be saved.
     For with the heart
        man believeth unto righteousness;
           and with the mouth
              confession is made unto salvation."
                 (Romans 10: 9-10)

   "For whosever shall call upon the name
         of the Lord shall be saved."
                 (Romans 10: 13)

   "So then faith
        cometh by hearing
           and hearing
              by the word of the Lord."

THE TRUMP OF GOD

   I believe when the trump of God sounds,
      as we are told in 1st Thessalonians 4: 16,
   the whole world will hear it,
      and "every eye shall see him", 
   according to Revelation 1: 7.

      "Behold, he cometh with clouds;
  and every eye shall see him,
  and they also which pierced him:

  and all kindreds of the earth shall  wail because of him.  Even so, Amen.  
   I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty."                                     
(Revelation 1: 7-8)

 
   

THE DAYS OF NOAH

   Jesus said,

      "But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.  For as in the days before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day Noah entered into the ark, and knew not until the flood came, and took them away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be."                               (Matthew 24: 37-39)

   With hurricanes Harvey and Irma, God is knocking down our party huts and temple pleasures, and the worst of things to come on the United States is yet to come.

   To begin, America's religion of sports is falling to the ground because people have been worshipping the idols of sports for at least a hundred years and thereby robbing God of the glory that has been due to Him.

   Because of the water from hurricane Harvey and with Irma's water still on the way, North America will have not seen this much water on the ground since Noah's flood.

   As Irma continues her current projected track, and if her tropical winds reach Atlanta with its abundance of trees crashing down on electrical power lines, Atlanta will be in the dark for weeks, or even for months. 

   Now with the arenas of sports closed across Florida, Atlanta, and Charlotte, there will be no more games in most places east of the Mississippi River.  Therefore, perhaps we will see the seasons of the National Football League, college football, and Major League Baseball grind to a halt.

   So far, several million people have evacuated Florida and south Georgia to the north. 

   In another week or maybe two, this exodus will produce an abnormal shift in supply and demand for food, fuel, and fresh water. 

  With evacuees out of jobs, their money will come to and end. What will families do then to feed themselves and their children?

  Restaurants, super markets, and gas stations will see a glut, and medical services will buckle under the strain to treat sick and hurting people.

  Unemployment lines will be a disaster with people waiting for ever to get financial relief.  Tempers will flare and chaos and disorder will be the way of the day.  We could see Marshal Law imposed across the United States because we are seeing only the beginning of things to come upon our nation.

   America has never seen an age like this before, yet the Lord told us this time would come, and it is here now.

   Today is a very good time to cry out to God and say,

   

   "The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid.  For in the time of trouble he shall hide me in his pavilion:  in the secret of his tabernacle shall he hide me; he shall set me upon a rock."  (Psalm 27: 1, 5)

  The days of Noah are here now, so what should we be doing?
  We should be looking for the return of Christ!  For Jesus said,
      "But as the days of Noah were before the flood...so shall also the coming of the Son of man be."

AMERICA'S GAMES

   An ice storm in Atlanta many years ago knocked out electrical power for most of the metro area while radio and television stations had power because of electrical generators.
   During a radio talk show, however, a woman called in to complain about not having:  her cable TV.
   On this day, September 9, Major League Baseball and college football are continuing as normal with the pennant races and "the run for the wild card" prevalent in minds of millions of Americans---even with  all of the red flags that blowing in the wind because of hurricane Irma.
   "Maybe the hurricane won't be that bad," they say.
   "We have survived hurricanes before," they say.
   But this nation has never seen four hurricanes coming to America in the same hurricane season; yet this news does not appear to bother many people as they are saying, "Let the games go on."
   Nevertheless, the games go on and people still have their cable TV.
   On Monday night, September 11, Monday Night Football comes to town and millions of heads will turn to television to watch America's idols play a football game.
   Or will they?
   What do you suppose will happen if the electrical power grid goes down and the fans will not have their cable TV?
   The solar eclipse on August 21 was a sign from God out of heaven, telling us of events that are coming upon the earth.  Many Americans recognized the sign and have made preparations for the storms that are coming to America---while millions of Americans have done nothing,  still dreaming and hoping that the storms will not be that bad, or that we can take it again, as we have taken other storms before, and we can still have America's games without interruption.
   Or maybe they are trusting in their gods to hear their prayers.
 
   "But our God is in the heavens; he hath done whatsoever he hath pleased.  Their idols are silver and gold, the work of men's hands.  They have mouths to speak, but they speak not:  eyes they have, but they see not.  They have ears, but they hear not:  noses they have, but they smell not.  They have hands, but they handle not:  feet they have, but they walk not:  neither do they speak through their throat.  They that make them are like unto them; so is every one that trusteth in them.  O, Israel, trust thou in the LORD:  he is their help and their shield."  (Psalm 115: 3-9)
   

THEY'RE COMING TO AMERICA

   Jesus said,

       "There shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring; men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming upon the earth:   for the powers of heaven shall be shaken."   (Luke 21: 25-26)

   First came hurricane Harvey, and now hurricane Irma is knocking on America's door.
   More than this, hurricanes Katia and Jose are currently gathering steam out in the Atlantic on the heels of hurricane Irma.
   Where are these hurricanes going?
   They're coming to America.
   What can the people of the United States say to God when this nation leads the world in the production and distribution of pornography?
   What can we say to God when pedophilia against our children is out of control?
   What can we say to God when we have provided sanctuary cities for robbers, murderers, and traffikers of drugs and human traffikers of women and children for sex, drugs, and pornography?
   The list of our nation's sins can go on and on, but people do not want to admit that they are sinners while our country is bearing the fruit of our nation's sowing.
   We say "God Bless America", but somewhere along the way we forgot about God and exchanged our foundational belief for thrills and parties and entertainment and sports.
   But take a look at us now and see what we have done to our country:  our nation is falling because we have destroyed the United States from within.
   For even this week people have lost no interest in entertainment, nor in football and baseball games even with "the sea and waves roaring".

      "For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness.  (Romans 1: 18)

  But immediately after Jesus tells us of things to come,
      in Luke 21: 25-26,
         what does He tell us next?

      "And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.  And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh."  (Luke 21: 27-28)

MY NAME IS IRMA

   Ever since hurricane Harvey, news organizations and weather experts have been telling you about me and how I have been coming to America from across the Atlantic Ocean.
   They have been telling you that I am a monster, or even a beast from the sea.
   Some of you have believed these reports and have been making plans for my arrival because you fear me, and you are wise.
   But some of you, however, do not fear me.  You have continued to live your lives as if I am not a big deal.  Because of television, you see me as just another form of entertainment, or an event to come that will not be as bad as the experts predict; or, as just another TV show that you can watch from the comfort of your living rooms and not be bothered by my lashing winds, torrential rain, and a few tornados that will hit the ground.
   To you, I am just another talking point for the talking heads of talk television news, but also a talking point for the sports networks and the impact I will make on the games that will thrill you this weekend and next week, too.  As soon as I am gone and out of the way, your way of life can get back to normal with the games you cherish so dearly.
   Therefore, let me jog your memory with a thing or two.
   Back on August 21, God sent a sign from heaven to warn you of things to come on the earth with the solar eclipse.  The wise understood the sign, and they have been working to get the word out by telling people that this sign is from God and that other events will come thereafter.
   Others, however, have remained as fools by ignoring the words of the wise and by choosing instead to view the eclipse as just another solar event, or even a form of entertainment.  After all, the eclipse did thrill people, and they liked it with all of their oohs and ahs when the light went out.
   My name is Irma and I am real.
   In three days and three nights, the lights are going out in cities, communities, and neighborhoods in America.
   What will you say about me next Monday? 
   More importantly, what are you going to do about me today?
   Not that long ago in Jerusalem, the body of a certain man was in a tomb for three days and three nights, and there was darkness.  But on the third day, that man was resurrected from death as the Light came out of the grave.
   Jesus said,
      "I am the light of the world:  he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life."  (John 8: 12)
   Hurricane Irma will produce darkness.  But in that darkness people can still have light if they turn their hearts to Christ---preferably today instead of next Monday.  For Monday will be too late if they should die before then.

THE DEAF HEAR

   "Then Jesus answering said unto them,
Go your way, and tell John what things
ye have seen and heard; how that the blind
see, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed,
the deaf hear, the dead are raised, to the poor the gospel is preached."  (Luke 7: 22)

   Because of sign language, the deaf can hear the word of the Lord and be saved from their sins. We know this is true because the Bible says,

      "So then faith cometh by HEARING  and HEARING by the word of God."  (Romans 10: 17; large caps mine)

   Therefore, since the deaf can hear the word of the Lord through sign language and be saved, what will people with ears to hear say to God when they have also heard about Christ, but have turned their faces from the truth?
   What will they say, for example, if they choose to believe in their pagan gods to save them:  gods that have no eyes to see, nor ears to hear, nor mouths to speak?
   What will those who believe that water baptism is sufficient for the cleansing of sin when their belief has taught them to place their trust in the water,  and not in Christ?  For we know that Jesus died on a cross for our sins, and not the water.
   For, if they believe the water has cleansed them of their sin, why should they look to Christ to save them? 
  At that time, however, Jesus can mean no more to them than an image  in their religious environment, but with no eyes to see, nor ears to hear, nor a mouth to speak:  all because they have listened to the words of their ministers and priests, whom they believe are messengers of God:  when they are no more than false prophets.  For Jesus said,

      "Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves."  (Matthew 7: 15)

   Because sign language is a universal language for the deaf, deaf people worldwide can hear the word of God in their own language and understand the Gospel of Christ.
   Deaf people are hearing impaired, yes, but so are the people with ears to hear when they close their minds and their hearts to the message of Christ.
   
   "Neither is there salvation in any other:

                       for there is none other name
                          under heaven
                              given among men
                     whereby we must be saved."
                                   (Acts 4: 12)
   
  

THINGS THAT MATTER

   If people have no interest in the matters that matter to you, you can be sure they have no interest in you.
   Because their only interest is in themselves, their interest thereafter is in those things that are of interest to them.
   Now, all they desire is an audience  so that they may hear themselves brag about those things that matter to themselves and them alone.
   Therefore, may God help us in these last days as we hear about the things that matter---to God.

      "The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all.  Amen."      (Revelation 22: 21)

GRADUATION DAY

   "Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither hath entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him."  (1st Corinthians 2: 9)

   Ever since the tower of Babel, wicked men have been talking about a queen of heaven, yet we know that the true queen of heaven is the church,  whom Christ shall marry at the wedding supper of the Lamb!

  We also know that heaven is by invitation only, and all other methods need not apply.

  For Jesus said, 

      "I am the way, the truth, and the life:  no man cometh unto the Father, but by me."  (John 14: 6)
   And again,
      "He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber."  (John 10: 1)

   Other methods do not apply because,
      "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves:  it is the gift of God:  not of works, lest any man should boast."   (Ephesians 2: 8-9)

   Even while Jesus was still on earth, He said,
      "Go ye therefore into the highways, and as many ye shall find, bid to the marriage."  (Matthew 22: 9)
   
   And again,
      "Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth:  for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak:  and he will show you things to come.  He shall glorify me:  for he shall receive of mine, and shall show it unto you."  (John 16: 13-14)

   By this we know that, for more than two thousand years, the Holy Spirit has been delivering invitations for people to know Christ, to receive forgiveness for their sin, and thereby they, too, will have a seat at the marriage supper of the Lamb.

  The Lord saves people in various situations:
  Zaccheus was up in a sycamore tree when he received his.
  The woman at the well acknowledged her invitation when she said,    "Is not this the Christ?"  (John 4: 29)
   The thief on the cross said, "Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom, and Jesus said, To-day shalt thou be with me in paradise."  (Luke 23: 42-43)

   What are we to learn, however, from these three people?
   First, the woman at the well had had five husbands and the man she was living with was not her husband, so she was living in the sin of adultery.
   Secondly, Zaccheus was a tax collector and he had collected more taxes than necessary; because of greed, he wanted to get rich by filling his own pockets.
   Thirdly, the thief on the cross had a death-bed experience and he wanted forgiveness for his sin before he died.
   The Bible says, "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God."  (Romans 3: 23)
   Therefore, without Christ, all of us  would die in our sin and go to hell.
   Nevertheless, these three and millions more have accepted their invitations to the wedding supper of the Lamb because they willingly received the Lord's forgiveness for their sin.

   "Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honor to him:  for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready.  And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white:  for the fine linen is the righteousness of the saints."  (Revelation 19: 7-8)

   "For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God:  and the dead in Christ shall arise first:  then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air:  and so shall we ever be with the Lord."  (1st Thessalonians 4: 16-17)

   Where will you be, my friend, when we are caught up and the graduation march begins?

SPINNING WHEELS

   On the television show, Wheel of Fortune, contestants seek to strike it rich without an investment of their own.
   The television show, The Price is Right, also features a wheel where  contestants seek to strike it rich without an investment of their own.
   Meanwhile, at the roulette wheel in casinos, gamblers put it all on the line as they hope for Lucky Seven, or No. 9.
   In the world in which we live, the spinning wheels go round and round as people seek to strike it rich without an investment of their own.
   People, people everywhere blow in their hands and cross their hearts as they wish for a place called heaven with a thing called luck.
   As people spin the wheels and roll the dice, they also gamble---with their own souls.

   Jesus said,
       "For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?"  (Mark 8: 36-37)

   A kiss for luck, a rabbit's foot, a four-leaf clover, and a knock on wood are the words we hear from people, people everywhere as they willing risk it all as if they have no sin at all.

      "But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:  in whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them."  (2nd Corinthians 4: 3-4)

     "Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD:  though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool."  (Isaiah 1: 18)

     "How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him;"  (Hebrews 2: 3)

     Do you remember the words of the Lord to a man, who had climbed up in a sycamore tree?

      "Zaccheus, make haste, and come down; for to-day I must abide at thy house."  (Luke 19: 5)

   Therefore, come down  from the spinning wheels,
                 and be saved by Christ today!

      

THE PARTICIPANT'S TROPHY

   A few years ago in a two-day golf tournament, my partner was a much better golfer than me, and at the first tee on the very first day of the tournament, something strange happened to me.
   Call it fear, call in intimidation, or call it whatever I could have called it, my mind was suddenly transformed:  I became a participant, instead of a competitor, and I began to watch my partner and depend on him to make the shots that I could not make, as if I had been wrapped in a straitjacket.

   Thus, for two days and with eighteen holes on both days, I never made one shot  that helped my partner because I was totally depending on him for our team to win first place, which we did not do, and neither did we score well enough to even place 2nd, 3rd, or 4th because my partner had a partner that left him standing alone in the battle on the fairways and on the greens.
   I learned a valuable lesson from golf that day, which is this:
   How many of us as Christians are no more than participants  in our work for the Lord?
   How many of us watch as others sing while all we do is sing along?
   How many of us watch as others teach and preach, while all we do is sit on our hands---and, like a rock, we shall not be moved.
   Or maybe with our voices we will squeak a little "Amen".
   How many of us will never write a song, write a book, and even write a blog about the Lord because all we do is sit on our hands---and, like rock, we shall not be moved.
   If the Christian nation has become a team of participants, instead of competitors, we are losing ground.
   If all we do is watch as others do, we are losing ground.
   If our partners cannot rely on us to help the team in the battle, we are losing ground.
   If all we do is watch our partners make the shots because we are wrapped in straitjackets, what will our partners do knowing that they are standing alone?
   What, then, will we say to our Lord when He appears?
   At the Awards Banquet of the Lord, do you suppose there will be a Participant's Trophy for those members of the team, who sat on their hands and watched as others gained ground for the Lord?  Or as others were left at times to stand alone?

   "Wherefore, seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.  For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be weary and faint in your minds."  (Hebrews 12: 1-3)

   A long time ago, I heard a man say there is a time to pray, but there is also a time, he said, to put some prayers under our legs and stand.
   The Christian nation needs some help, for there are many Christians standing alone.  And if we refuse to stand, we will become no more than participants while leaving other Christians to stand alone.
   Please help us with your prayers, but also help us with your participation.

   

CHILDISH THINGS

   Evolution is just a word that men are using to excite the emotions of people to believe in another fancy theory that looks good and sounds good to the human senses of the eyes and ears, and thereby deceiving people to believe that if it looks good and sounds good, then it must be true.
   Evolutionists and environmentalists, however, are very good at their craft of creating theories with good success because there is, after all, no business like show business---and evolution, in the 20th century, became the greatest show in earth, or the main event under the big top when the circus came to town.
   But did you ever hear the story about a frog who dreamed of being a king and he became one?  Or the day Yankee Doodle came to town riding on a pony?  Or the one that we hear every year about Santa Claus coming to town?  Or the rabbit hopping down the bunny trail?  Or the good ship Lollipop?  Or the big rock Candy Mountain?
   All of these examples are given to reveal the imaginations of men, who create fantasies and fairytales in the minds of people, even in the minds of adults with childlike minds because many adults, along with children, find a thrill in bedtime stories.
   The theory of evolution has certainly created a world of excitement in the minds of adults with childlike minds.  And because they believe in just another theory, they will also believe in every other theory that comes down the Pike.
   As for the environmentalists, they want us to believe that the earth is our mother, and that we should worship our mother by keeping her environment clean as a whistle.

      "When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child:  but when I became a man, I put away childish things."  (1st Corinthians 13: 11)

   Bedtime stories, fantasies, fairytales, and theories are childish things from the imaginations of men with childlike minds.

STANDING IN WATER

   Our nation's fourth largest city has been crippled and is trying its best to stand on crutches because the state of Texas has been devastated by hurricane Harvey.
   But on this Saturday in September, millions of Americans across this land are saying let the games go on:  the football games, the baseball games, and don't forget about the parties with a whole lot of shaking going on.
   For clearly, the United States is a nation that is in love with parties, both before and after the games.
   Meanwhile, thousands and thousands of people in Texas today are huddled in storm shelters, and their concern is not about the games or the parties.
   As Americans, however, we should be ashamed for forgetting about Texas so quickly. 
   But are we Ashamed?
   Of course not.
   Because of pride, the eyes, minds, and hearts of millions of Americans are focused on the games and the parties while the people in Texas are thinking about rebuilding their homes, rebuilding their businesses, even with their feet still standing in water.
   So if the feet of millions of Americans east of the Mississippi should be standing in water at a later date, what will people be doing?
   More importantly, what will people be saying?
   Will we be saying "In God We Trust", or will people be saying God bless America one more time so that we can have one more football game, one more baseball game, or one more party while the bands play on?
   Television and radio stations geared up this morning to feed the thirst of America today because the Yellow Rose of Texas has been too soon forgotten---while the bands are tuning their instruments.
   Let us pause here to remember a message from God:
 
      "Pride goeth before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall." 
                                       (Proverbs 16: 18)

MY FATHER'S BUSINESS

   When Jesus was twelves years old, He said to His mother,

       "Wist ye not that I must be about my Father's business?"                                                      (Luke 2: 49)

   

   As believers in Christ today, should not we also be about our Father's business? 
   Is it possible, however, that some true believers live in fear of the thoughts that others are thinking about them if they take a stand for the Lord?

  Jesus said,
      "Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord.  If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my saying, they will keep yours also.  But all these things they will do unto you for my name's sake, because they know not him that sent me.  If I had not come and spoken unto them, they had not had sin ; but now they have no cloak for their sin.  He that hateth me hated my Father also."   (John 15: 20-23)

   One fear that can grip people is the fear of name-calling:  names such as "Jesus freaks", "Bible thumpers", or "you must be one of those born-again Christians".
   Another fear can be when people challenge our belief in the Bible, even though they do not believe in the Bible, as if they are saying that they know more than God knows; or that they are laughing at us for believing in the Bible.
   Perhaps here we should ask the question:  Why do people, who do not believe in the Bible, spend their time challenging people who believe in the Bible?  Do they not have anything better than they can do with their time?
   Let us consider Butch and how he likes to kick sand in the faces of other children in the sandbox.
   Butch could certainly be doing better things with his time, but Butch likes to aggravate  other kids. This helps him to think that he is king of the sandbox as he enjoys watching kids squirm and run home crying to mommy. 
  The truth of the matter, however, is Butch has an evil heart, and no love abides in him.
   And so it is with many adults we meet that are just like Butch:  loud, noisy, aggravating, proud---and their hearts are evil.
   Then there are those that laugh about the return of Christ as if the return of Christ is something funny.

      "Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, and saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of creations."  (2nd Peter 3: 3-4)

   Since we know and believe Christ will return, we could say the last laugh is on the scoffers, but that would be retaliation, and we know the Bible forbids us,

      "Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath:  for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord."  (Romans 12: 19)

   Certainly, all of us  can experience fear in our work in our "Father's business"  from time to time, but to overcome our fears, we must also trust in the Lord as we trust in His Word,

      "Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us."  (Romans 8: 37.

   Remember, too, that a Butch will appear in the sandbox from time to time with nothing better to do with his time; therefore, refuse to debate his scoffer's questions and Butch will disappear.
   

THE EYE OF THE STORM

   With all that we have learned about hurricanes, especially from hurricane Katrina in 2005, we would think that people would have learned to read the sign of radar imagery that reveals the eye of the storm, which is telling them that a dangerous hurricane is heading toward dry land.
    Instead of believing in the sign of radar imagery, however, they refuse to heed the warning because they believe they will remain on dry land while the storm passes them by.

   Jesus said,
      "But as the days of Noah were, so shall the coming of the Son of man be.  For in the days before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be."  (Matthew 24: 37-39)

   For the people who refused to believe in the sign of hurricane Harvey, which was the radar imagery, they found themselves still living on dry land.  But as the storm came ashore and waters began to swell beneath their feet, they also found themselves looking for an ark to come to their rescue, to lift them up from the water and to safety in another place. 
  Arks arrived for some, however, while others died because of their pride to believe that their lives would proceed unhindered:  or that the sign of radar imagery did not apply to them.

   Jesus said,
      "And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring; men's hearts failing with fear, and for looking after those things that are coming upon the earth:  for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.  And then shall they see the Son of man coming in the cloud with power and great glory."  (Luke 21: 25-27)

   We also know that the solar eclipse of August 21, 2017, was a sign from God out heaven, telling us that events are coming on the earth before the return of the Lord.  These events will be troublesome and painful, and the only hope people have is to get in the ark with Christ and be saved when storm clouds gather.
