SPIRITUAL WARFARE: PART TWO

"For we wrestle not against flesh and blood,
           but against principalities, against powers,
against the rulers of the darkness of this world,
against spiritual wickedness in high places."  (Ephesians 6: 12)

We know that, first and foremost, spiritual warfare begins in the minds of people.
But the greatest place for spiritual warfare, outside of our own minds, is in man's inventions of religions that are scattered all across the earth.
We know, too, that religion had its beginning at the tower of Babel and under the leadership of Nimrod, the first human man-god, or Sun God, on planet earth, and this ideology was hatched in the mind of Satan and transmitted to the mind of Nimrod; therefore, we can believe that religion is a lie because Jesus said,
"Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do:  he was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him.  When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own:  for he is a liar, and the father of it."  (John 8: 44)
We know that Cain was in agreement with the Devil, and we also know that Nimrod was in agreement with the Devil:  "and the lusts of your father ye will do"---as did both Cain and Nimrod.  And Cain and Nimrod were also murderers.
Now that we know how the Devil operates, we can therefore believe that in everything that is in all of man's religions, everything is a lie.  Everything!  All of its laws, all of its doctrines, and all of its traditions, rites, rituals, and sacrifices---in all of man's religions all across the earth, and including all temples and shrines, with all of their statues and statuettes, and with all of their pictures and portraits hanging on the walls.
According to Reference.com, there are approximately 4,200 religions worldwide as of 2017.
While we could write books about all the evil that exists in man's religions, and, while this would be good for an educational purpose for true believers, let us stop here and turn the page and deal with spiritual warfare closer to home.
"Therefore if any man be in Christ,
           he is a new creature:
           old things are passed away;
behold all things are be become new."   (2nd Corinthians 5: 17)
Remembering, too, that light has no fellowship with darkness, as it is written according to Ephesians 4: 32.
For it is in the home that spiritual warfare begins for believers in Christ.
If you have accepted Christ as your Savior, and other family members have not, your relationship with them is no longer the same.  You are now a carrier of the light of Christ while they are still living in darkness.
Your relationship with them will now be different and no longer the same.  Expect things to happen that will be uncomfortable, for there is now a gulf that is fixed between you and them, and you are a carrier of the light of Christ while they are still dwelling in darkness.  Be patient, be kind, and keep praying that the Holy Spirit will visit them, just as He visited you, and that they will be persuaded to cross over the gulf and join Christ just as you did.  And what a day that will be!
In your extended family, such as aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews, and, yes, include your in-laws, too, there will be spiritual warfare because you are a carrier of the light of Christ while they are still dwelling in darkness.
Therefore, expect to hear words such as "those born-believers"---or---"Bible thumpers".  Expect to hear joking and laughing because they believe your experience with Christ is funny.  Remain calm, however, and do not lose your cool, and do not strike back with anger for this is what the Devil wants you to do.  For there is a gulf that is fixed between you and them.  Pray, then, that the Holy Spirit with visit them, just as He visited you, and they will be able to cross over the gulf and join with Christ as they will also join with you.  And what a day that will be!
For as we pray, we are "Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God."  (Hebrews 12: 2)
Knowing, then, that spiritual warfare is real, we also know that spiritual warfare will continue, as it will continue to continue, until Christ returns and puts His foot down.
   Until then,
"Be ye kind one to another, tender-hearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you."  (Ephesians 4: 32)
And may the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you today.
