KINDNESS

"And be ye kind one to another, tender-hearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you."      (Ephesians 4: 12)

Have you ever written a letter or an email to a friend, a loved one, a family member, a fellow employee, or to a person you haven't seen in years and perhaps for decades, telling them about something they did for you that you have never forgotten?  Or it could be the way they always treated you well or were an encouragement to you in your life?  Have you ever done that?
   Try it.
In so doing, you will discover that the person receiving your letter will be shocked to hear that you remember them for the kindness that they extended to you a long, long time ago.
In so doing, you will also discover that a letter such as this will do for yourself.  You will experience a release of praise for another person as your heart goes out to others instead of your heart beating for yourself.
Show a little kindness, a little tenderness, and a gratitude for people who have helped you in your life, and to the people who have helped you to become the person you are today.
Remembering, too, that there was a certain man from Nazareth and how he extended kindness out of his heart for the whole world.

"That in the ages to come he might show the exceeding riches of his grace, and his kindness toward us, through Christ Jesus."  (Ephesians 2: 7)
