SPIRITUALLY BLIND

People tell people about the people they know, but people do not tell others about people they do not know.
People tell people about Christ when they know Christ; but for people who do not know Christ, they have nothing to tell about Him.
What can people say about a stranger, a person they have never met?
   Nothing.
When Jesus is a stranger to people, what can they say about Jesus?
   Nothing.
For people must know Jesus in order to tell others about Him.
Until people meet Christ for the first time, they will never know the power of deception that reigns in this world, for this is impossible for them to know because they are spiritually blind.
For religious people, they have adjusted their physical eyes to see in artificial light, such as light that is powered by generators, but their spiritual eyes are closed; and their worship is of the things they can see with their physical eyes, or with their imaginations.  For only Christ can open their spiritual eyes.  Once they open their eyes to Christ, however, their religion will disappear.
Even so, there are many people in churches who cannot tell others about Christ because they are religious Christians---claiming Christianity as a religion, but not claiming Christ as their Savior.  These, too, are people who are spiritually blind, especially by those who claim a church as a family tradition, and therefore they claim Christianity as a family religion.
People can also claim a Christian church as a brand name, and their allegiance is to their brand name and not to Christ.  The evidence of this is when people say "I'm a Catholic", "I'm a Baptist", or "I am of the Whatever" persuasion because they have found comfort and security in wearing the brand:  in the same way that people find comfort and security in brand name clothes, brand name cars, and designer shoes and purses.  The bigger the name, the bigger the brand, and people are proud because of their big name church with a big name preacher, minister, or priest.  But where is Christ in the brand?  Christ is not there because Christ is a stranger.
And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, every nation under heaven was represented by people who had gathered outside the house when the Holy Spirit fell on the apostles of Christ; and for the first time in their lives, all of those people heard the wonderful works of God in their own languages.  And for the first time in their lives, their spiritual eyes were opened and they were no longer spiritually blind.
