Men of religion killed Jesus. They mocked Him, they tried to beat Him to death, and then they crucified Him.
Men of religion knew that Jesus is the only begotten Son of God. In their minds, they knew that Christ is Messiah, the Light of the world, and they believed that if they could kill Him, the Light would be extinguished.
What shall we say, then, about religion?
Religion is an evil invention of man, and man's religion originated in the worship of Satan.
Satan, therefore, has an army of ministers and priests, working for him. They are being rewarded for their obedience to the devil by the money that is in the world.
Religion is the wealthiest institution on the face of the earth, and men of religion own more buildings and real estate than most governments of nations across the earth.
Religion takes money from people while deceiving people to believe they are getting something in return for their financial investments in a future that will not be there for them when they die.
Religion is therefore the evidence that The love of money is the root of all evil. (I Timothy 6: 10)
While people starve and suffer, men of religion prosper, hoarding the money for themselves.
Men of religion are willing for people to die while taking the money out of their cold hands before burying their dead bodies.
People have been deceived to believe that they can pay men of religion for their salvation as well as pay for a place called heaven. People will surrender their personal fortunes to men of religion as well as the deeds to their properties as insurance for their journey to a place called heaven.
And after men of religion killed Jesus, they went on a killing spree to rid the world of believers of Christ across all provinces of the Roman Empire for hundreds of years. This unholy massacre included any and all persons who believed in Christ, worshipped Christ, breathed the Lord's name, or possessed a single piece of paper of a Biblical manuscript---while proclaiming to be doing service to God! Jesus warned that this would happen:
They shall put you out of the synagogues: yea, the time cometh, that whosoever killeth you will think that he doeth God service. And these things will they do unto you, because they have not known the Father, or me. (John 16: 2-3)
Christ, therefore, is the enemy of the men of religion because the men of religion are ministers and priests of Satan---while masquerading themselves as ministers and priests of God.
