HOW GREAT THOU ART!

And there all also many other things which Jesus did, the which, if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that should be written.  (John 21: 25)
The life of Jesus Christ is a history book of itself, standing above and apart from any and all of the history books of mankind.
The life of Jesus Christ is known by more people than any person of human history:  for there is none greater than Jesus Christ.
   For example:
Outside of Islam, what do people worldwide know about the life of Mohammad the prophet?
Outside of Buddhism, what do people worldwide know about the life of the Dalia Lama?
Outside of Hinduism, what do people worldwide know about Hinduism and that it has no single founder?
Outside of Roman Catholicism, what do people worldwide know about the life of the Pope?
Outside the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, what do people worldwide know about the life of Joseph Smith, founder of Mormonism?
Yet people in all of these religions of man know about Jesus Christ, the Son of God!
Do you know where and when Mohammad was born?  Do you know one childhood story about the Dalia Lama?  Do you know the nation in which Pope Benedict was born?  Do you know how many wives Joseph Smith had?
The list of religions and religious leaders can go on and on.  A list of the gods and goddesses of the world's religions could take a week to compile.  The doctrines and philosophies of all the religions of the world could take years to study as well as to interpret and debate all the various meanings and applications.
Yet, within all of the religions of the world, not one person died for the sins of all people!  Not one person in the world's religions was born for this purpose, and not one person in the world's religions arose from death!
Mohammad did not die for the sins of all people, and neither did the Dalia Lama, the Pope, nor Joseph Smith.  Yet people of these religions believe in the words of these leaders as if they are speaking holy words!  All of these men will also die, and neither will arise from death!
But Jesus Christ is different.  He was conceived in His mother's womb by the Holy Spirit---not Mohammad, not the Dalia Lama, not the Pope, and not Joseph Smith.
Jesus Christ is different in another way:
He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief:  and we hid as it were out faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not.  (Isaiah 53: 2, 3)
Isaiah the prophet wrote more about Jesus Christ:
For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given:  and the government shall be upon his shoulder:  and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.  (Isaiah 9: 6)
In the history book of Jesus Christ, what can we say or write of Him that has not been said nor written?  The apostle John said it best when he wrote:
I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that should be written.
There is a song about Jesus Christ that Christians love to sing, written by Stuart K. Hine in 1953:
      Then sings my soul,
         my Savior God to thee;
      how great thou art,
          how great thou art!
