A HAND IN A GLOVE

As for Jesus Christ, the Son of God, it is written:
Neither is there salvation in any other:  for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.  (Acts 4: 12)

Religion is a classical example of Psychology 101:  conditioned learning and behaviour modification.
For as a person accepts all of the teachings of a religion, his mind has been conditioned to embrace those teachings as truth, and his mind is now under the control of his religion, for he and his religion have become one.
Because his mind is now conditioned to his religion, his behaviour has been modified to live according to the teachings---and to the teachers---of his religion.
As such, and because the person is now a religious person, he represents a hand, and his religion represents a glove.  Now that he is in the glove, he feels warm and cozy as well as protected; and he will always feel this way because he believes this way.  And because his religion controls his mind, his religion also controls his behaviour.  His mind and behaviour are now one, just as he and his religion are now one.
For if you can control a person's mind, you can also control his behaviour.  This is why religion is likened unto an intoxicating beverage, or an addictive drug, and his religion has become his salvation.
If Christ is not in his religion, his mind been conditioned (or trained) to fight against Christ because Christ is considered to be the enemy:  that Christ will take away his religion, which is the same as taking away his salvation:  or the removing of the glove from his hand.
Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature:  old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.  (II Corinthians 5: 17)
Not so in religion!  There is nothing new in religion, for it is the same old stuff.
Neither is there any excitement in religion, for there is no life in religion; and there is no life in religion, for it is a system of death.  As long as the hand of the person is in the glove of religion, the hand is dead because religion is dead:  and the two are one.  And religion, being dead, can not give life, nor eternal life after death.
Therefore, it does not matter which religion a person chooses in life because all religions are dead; for they are inventions out of man's imaginations:   and they are death chambers for people.
The ministers and priests of man's religions know that they are not ministers of Christ.  They are as spiritual doctors, dispensers of false teaching and false doctrines in order to keep the minds of their subjects medicated until the day they die:  at which time Satan gets their souls.
This, then, is the danger of religion.  It is a death chamber, a dead-end zone, and there is no light at the end of the tunnel, but only darkness.
Beloved, to know Christ for your salvation, you must come out of religion.  Remove your hand from the glove and let go.  Trust Him by faith and the Lord will save you.
Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.  (Hebrews 11: 1)
