Have you ever heard it said, "The Devil's got your tongue"?
That is a true statement, which can easily sound trivial, or just a manner of speaking.
If the Devil has your tongue, he also has your mind; and if he has your mind, he will have your eyes. And because the Devil has your mind, he will direct your eyes away from the Bible. For the Devil knows that if you read the Bible, you will learn the knowledge of God; and by learning the knowledge of God, you will learn of Christ; and if you learn of Christ, the Devil will lose your soul to the Lord.
When people tell you about religion, instead of telling you about Christ, they are speaking with the Devil's tongue. The Devil has them in his pocket and the Devil wants them to win your soul for him.
For you see, the Devil also has ministers and messengers who are fishers of men. He has them deceiving others just as the Devil deceived them. The Devil is rewarding them for their obedience unto him, for the Devil is their lord and master.
People of religion are children of the Devil, and the Devil works to protect his children.
The Devil works to stop the ears of his children from hearing about God.
The Devil works to stop the eyes of his children from reading about Christ in the Bible.
The Devil does not want his children to talk to Christians because the Devil knows the Holy Spirit, and the Devil knows the Holy Spirit abides in the bodies of Christians.
The Devil wants his children to believe that the god of their religion is also the god of heaven.
Yet the Devil does not want his children to know that the god of their religion is the Devil!
The Devil abides in religions all over the world, and people, in religions all over the world, believe that the gods and goddesses of their religions are also the gods and goddesses of heaven.
The Devil does not want his children to know they are going to hell with him because they have rejected Christ. For the Devil knows that if he can keep his children in religion until they die he will have their souls!
The Devil wants his children to believe that Christ is the Devil, and that Christ will prevent them from going to heaven; for if they gain Christ, they will lose their religion; and if people believe they will lose heaven if they lose their religion, this is precisely what the Devil wants them to believe.
Do you see how crafty and sly the Devil is?
Therefore, if people tell you about their religion, they are telling about the Devil because the Devil is the god of religion, which means The Devil's got their tongue.
Speaking to Christians, the Apostle Paul wrote these words:
What! Know he not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's. (1st Corinthians 6: 19-20)
But! (and this is very important) if you reject Christ, your body will become the temple of the Devil, and you will worship him, and you will speak for him because The Devil's got your tongue.
People of religious Christianity are also tongue-tied: the Devil will allow them to speak for their religion, but not be a voice for Christ.
See how the Devil works?
Today, however, I am not expecting you to believe in me, but my hope is that you will read the Bible and believe God. For even in the Lord's Prayer, Jesus said, Deliver us from evil.
Religion, therefore, is an evil thing, and the children therein are children of the Devil, and The Devil's got their tongue---and they will speak with the tongues of devils, demons, and evil spirits.
