Religion is the occult world of Satan---a world of darkness, though disguised as something that is good and acceptable in the minds of people.
Is Satan easily known in his world of religion?
Of course not! He is too clever for that.
Satan sends his messengers, his ministers, his priests, who appear to be angels of light, and who appear to be bringing good news to people.
Enter its gates of darkness and it is not likely that you will come out alive; for its doctrine will intoxicate your mind and hold you as a prisoner all the days of your life.
By the way: where are your children?
Satan wants your children to come with you so that their little minds can be transfused with the doctrine of evil and thereby be transformed to become witnesses of religion: to bring other people through the gates of darkness so that they, too, will have what you have, and so that they, too, can be trapped and held as prisoners all the days of their lives.
Religion is a contagious disease of the mind and it infects others; for religion is the greatest method of mind control that Satan has injected in the minds of people---through people---who appear to be messengers of God!
Children, therefore, are the primary targets for Satan's clandestine operation to succeed; for if he can educate the minds of children, he can reproduce himself through generations of families; for the minds of children are as dry sponges, innocent, and unaware of Satan's deception. For once he has the parents, he also gets their children, for the children believe that their parents are leading them to do the right thing, not knowing that they will become little lambs for the slaughter within the gates of darkness---while the parents believe that their children are doing well when honored to light the altar candles, or to help the priest serve wavers and beverage, and clean the golden vessels.
Children, however, do not choose religion, for this choice is made for them, especially by parents; for parents want their children to be like them, to walk and talk like them, and to believe like them. And when parents are satisfied that their children are fully indoctrinated to follow their religion, the parents are pleased.
All religions are from the same house of evil, and the religion that people accept is usually the religion that gets to their minds first, most often when they are toddlers.
The men who killed Jesus were men of religion as well as children of darkness from the house of evil. They had been converted to the evil of darkness as adults, or their education in evil began when they were offered as sacrifices by their parents. Either way, the evil of their hearts was revealed when they met Jesus, and they wanted to kill Him because He stood between them and their god, Satan.
And so it is today: Christ stands between people and Satan, and people, when confronted with the truth of Christ by the Holy Spirit of God, will either submit to Christ for salvation, or they will hide behind Satan and cleave to their religion. This is a spiritual war, a war that is invisible, but it is a war that is visible in the behavior of people in religion.
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. (Ephesians 6: 12-13)
