First impressions are lasting impressions, and if religion is the first impression that enters the mind of a toddler, he will grow up to be a walking-talking textbook of his religion.
The toddler does not know the difference between right and wrong, between lies and truth, nor good from evil. He simply believes the words of his first impression, which is continuously reinforced by his teachers with positive reinforcements as well as with negative reinforcements.
Religious teachings are the same as lessons from the school of Psychology 101, in a chapter called Conditioned Learning, which means that a human mind can be conditioned to believe any method of learning that is poured into an innocent mind. Thus the child will continuously attend the house of his religion, on a regularly-scheduled plan, to reinforce the condition of his mind.
Once religion is cemented in the mind of a toddler, and after becoming an adult, the knowledge of God is the same as a foreign language; for the words of God do not fit the condition of his mind, which he will reject, because his faith has been framed and formatted to believe in his religion.
In the mind of a religious person, he will further believe that the ministers and priests of his religion are gods, who are capable of forgiving them of their sins as well as capable of providing a way for them to heaven.
All across the earth, people are walking-talking textbooks of religions and philosophies, dogmas and doctrines, rites and rituals, which are written from the minds of men that are without the knowledge of God.
All across the earth, too, people of religions believe that their ministers and priests are gods, walking to and fro upon the earth.
Who, then, is "God" to a religious mind?
God is an abstract being, whom they believe with their imaginations, and whom abides somewhere in the heavens, unseen by humans, while their gods upon the earth are the executive officers of their God, who are empowered with the same characteristics of their heavenly God, whom they call Father, as they also call their earthly gods Father.
Thus, a religious mind is a mind that dwells in a world of darkness, in which there is no light; for a religious mind will not believe in Almighty God, Creator of the universe, and neither will they believe in the Word of God, which is the Holy Bible, which, to them, is a textbook of darkness, from which they turn away because the gods of their religion have conditioned their minds not to read the Bible.
In truth, however, religion is from the mind of Satan, the prince of darkness, but is presented as a way of light; and just as Satan can transform himself as an angel of light, his men upon the earth can transform their personalities to appear as messengers of God: by the words they speak, and also by the garments they wrap around their bodies. And, like Satan, they walk to and fro upon the earth, seeking whom they shall devour.
And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works. (2 Corinthians 11: 14-16)
Where, then, is Christ in a religious mind?
Christ is not there: He is risen, for Christ is the Light of God, and He does not abide in religion, which is a place of darkness.
Why seek ye the living among the dead? (Luke 24: 5)
