Each day when we awaken, we face God. At the same time, we face Satan. God wants us to see Christ and follow Him, and the devil wants us to see everything but God. Thus the devil runs interference all the day long, each and every day. This is spiritual warfare, which is an invisible war that has been upon the earth since the day of Adam and Eve. The serpent tempted Adam and Eve in the garden of Eden, and the devil tempts us each and every day.
These are the two choices we have each day: to follow God and do good, or to follow Satan and do evil. These two choices never change, and we make one of these two choices all the days of our lives.
The Holy Bible is the book of truth, and if you will read and study the pages of God's holy Word, you will know truth. And the more you study and trust in God, the more truth He will reveal to your mind. But if you ignore the truth of God, your mind will be filled with all manner of evil from Satan.
By reading and studying the Word of God, the Lord will teach you His ways, while, at the same time, He will teach you the ways of Satan's deception, which are lies that look and sound like truth.
To keep you from reading the Word of God, the devil will fight against you by distracting your mind, getting your attention to focus in another direction, and to dominate your time in other projects, other endeavors, other worthwhile ventures, and---before you know it---your day is gone and the time to sleep has arrived.
