YANKEE, STAY HOME

If there is a book of the Bible that could be called the forgotten book, that book could easily be the book of Genesis.
"In the beginning, God created the heaven and the earth.  And the earth was without form and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep.  And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.  And God said, Let there me light, and there was light." (Genesis 1: 1-3)
It is interesting to note that the first five letters of "Genesis" spells the word "genes"; therefore, the book of Genesis tells us the genetics of the origin of the universe.  And without this first book of the Bible, we would have no true knowledge about the origin of human life on earth, and we would have no true foundation on which truth stands.
If we do not know from whence we came, we would not know why we are here or where we are going; consequently, our present could be leading us to our past, instead of toward the future, for we would have no true knowledge about our own human history.
Without Genesis, we would keep repeating our mistakes of the past and never improving:  we would be spinning our wheels in the sand and not going anywhere.  But doesn't it appear that that is exactly where we are today?  That we are living toward the past instead of advancing forward?  That we are now going in reverse and living the way people lived before the flood of Noah?
If this does not seem to be true, take a look at us now and see where we are going:
The United States leads the world in the production and distribution of pornography.
The United States leads the world in prison population.
In cities across the land, and on nearly every street, adults and even children can get their hands on guns, marijuana, cocaine, and heroin.  Our government wants to ban guns, but our government does not want to ban marijuana, cocaine, or heroin.  Our government's war on guns is greater than our government's war on drugs.
In the United States today, people have invented 31 genders that men, or women, or even children can become if they are unhappy with the gender of their birth, which is either male or female.  Men are dressing and acting like women, women are dressing and acting like men, and they are wanting to teach young children in schools that they can do the same:  that children should be free to choose their own gender identity as easily as they can choose a flavor of ice cream.
In the United States today, we have the Church of Satan, Church of Witchcraft, Church of Wicca, and Church of Atheism, and adults within these institutions are teaching children the doctrines of devils.
How far has America fallen?  And how much deeper in darkness will we yet tumble before we crash and burn?
Knowing that these things are true about our country, we also have the audacity to transport our beliefs in evil, while believing that other nations need these things we have.  But perhaps, however, other nations are saying:  "Yankee, stay home.  For all that you have become, you are now just catching up with us."
The book of Genesis is the first book of the Bible, or the first book of the word of the Lord.  But if we will not believe the first book, then we will not believe the last book, nor any book in between.  If we do not believe that Noah's flood was a real event, neither will we believe that Christ is a real person:  for both stories are from the same book.  But if we say we believe the part of Christ is true, but not the story of Noah's flood, we make God a liar.
If, however, we believe that the Bible is the word of the Lord, then we will also believe that God wrote the history of our present danger:
"This know also, that in the last days, perilous times shall come.  For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, traitors, heady, high-minded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof:  from such turn away." (2nd Timothy 3: 1-5)
