"Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. He that loveth not, knoweth not God; for God is love. In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him. Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins." (1st John 4: 7-10)
Christ is a real person, and the Lord is alive and doing fine in Heaven!
And the Lord wants us to know, as He has been telling us in His word, that He has not forgotten about us, and He also wants us to know that He is coming back, just as He promised in His word.
For if we say that Christ died for our sins, then believe that Christ arose from death and ascended back to the Father in Heaven to do nothing, where would that leave us? If His death for our sins enables us to go to Heaven, would He not want us in Heaven with Him? Has Christ forgotten about us, or did He go to sleep and forget about His promise to return?
God forbid!
The world depicts Christ as no more than a babe in a manger as well as no more than a baby still wrapped in His mother's arms. If this is the image of Christ that has been cast in the minds of people, the message implied is that Christ never grew up to become a man: that He has remained a perpetual baby in need of His mother to care for Him and to protect Him. If Christ, therefore, is no more than an image in the imaginations of people, then Christ must not be a real person, which means that He is no more than a religious idol with an imaginary face as on a sculptor, painting, or photograph, and people will pray to these images instead of praying to Christ in Heaven.
It must be said here that God did not give us religion because God gave us His Son.
By this divine act of God we can know by faith that Christ is a real person and all the religions of the world are manmade, or systems of fantasy and make-believe. We can know this is true because we know that "God is love". Religions of the world, therefore, have no love in them because God's love does not abide in man's religions, for religion is for pagans and for their worship of idols.
Neither is the love of God in the worship of dead people, for this is necromancy, which is the worship of the souls of dead people, which pagans do. For if people pray to the souls of dead people, then their faith is in these spirits and not in the living God of Heaven.
Religion, therefore, is a dangerous thing. It is the enemy of God and it is evil, for religion keeps people bound and tied and separated from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus, who is alive and doing fine in Heaven!
The return of Christ has been taught, preached, and written about for over two thousand years.
Perhaps we would be shocked and stunned if we knew how many church people have never heard about the return of Christ. Why would church ministers, pastors, preachers, and priests not tell their people about this wonderful story? Yet they will tell their people about the return of Santa Claus! Could it be that they do not want their people to know about the Lord's second advent? Could it be that these "men of the cloth" are workers of the devil instead of messengers of Christ? Could these ministers be the false prophets that Christ warned us about?
"Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves." (Matthew 7: 15)
The reason, therefore, that many church people are not looking for the return of Christ is because they are not expecting Christ to return. For them, their churches are no more than houses of religion, and the love of God is not there: and their lives are being lived as no more than pagans in the worship of images in their own imaginations.
According to Bible prophecies, Christ could return any day now, for we are watching Bible prophecies unfold in front of our eyes. The time is near. Many of us know this is true, yet many church people have never been taught that the Bible is the word of the Lord, and they have never been taught about the return of Christ.
Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father but by me." (John 14: 6)
"If you will confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in your heart that God has raised him from the dead, you shall be saved." (Romans 10: 9)
Any day now Christ could return. Please do not get left behind to live in this world without Christ and without the love of God; for when Christ returns, the love of God will be lifted from the face of the earth.
