A subject that is dear to my heart is missing children.
From statistics available online, the number of missing children worldwide is staggering, a number that is in the millions each year. They are abducted, kidnapped, and even stolen against their will.
Only a small percentage of these children return to their homes, unharmed. Some are found alive, but beaten and sexually abused. Many are found dead, having been beaten and also sexually abused. The vast majority of missing children, however, simply vanish---never to be heard from again.
Then there is the part of this story that is dreadful: trafficking of children for prostitution, even children as young as three years of age, in the United States and around the world.
On a darker side of this story, countless children are used as human sacrifices on the altars of Satanic rituals by evil people of secret societies, even today.
In the United States, there are more than 450,000 churches and religious institutions, more than 600,000 members of the clergy, and Americans possess more Bibles than any nation in human history. There are also more than 2,000 Bible colleges worldwide, in addition to Christian colleges and Christian universities.
Yet, with all of these numerical facts, a war of terrorism against innocent children goes on unhindered every day. The news media is silent about it, governments are silent about it, and so are our ministers, preachers, and priests. We, the people, are also silent about this war on children. We wear our Sunday best, march into our pristine churches, go through our systems of worship, then trot along home to watch television, watch another movie or baseball game, entertain ourselves, and about the only time we pray is to ask God to do something for us.
Why and where did we, as a nation, go wrong, and how have we gone so wrong throughout the world?
Only God has the answer:
My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge; because you have rejected knowledge, I reject you from being a priest to me. And since you have forgotten the law of your God, I also will forget your children. (Book of Hosea 4:6)
God also has the solution:
If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. (Book of II Chronicles 7:14)
Unless we, who say be believe in God, start praying for children, nothing will change. If not, then the evil arms of terrorism against kids will reach out and snatch one of our own children or grandchildren---never to be seen nor heard from again.
