A WORLD WITHOUT LOVE

The absence of tears is the evidence of pride; for without tears, there is no humility.
There is therefore now no tears in religion because religion has no humility; which also means that religious people have no tears because religious people have no humility.
Religious people are therefore proud of their religions, and religious people have no tears for the souls of their children and grandchildren; for in the minds of religious people, they have found a way to heaven without going through Christ, and they are proud of themselves and proud of their religion.
Not only are religious people proud of their religions, but they are proud of their religious leaders, whom they consider to be as gods!  For even the gods (leaders of religions) have no tears because they believe they are above the Most High God of heaven!
In the history of the Catholic Church, for example, have you ever known of a pope to weep?  What about a Catholic cardinal or priest?
Did Joseph Smith, the founder of Mormonism, ever weep for the souls of people?
Did L. Ron Hubbard, founder of Scientology, ever weep for the souls people?
For all the teaching and preaching we watch on television, have you ever seen a televangelist weep for the souls of people?
It is written that people wept in the presence of Mother Teresa, but did Mother Teresa ever weep for the souls of people?
When was the last time you saw a person singing a Christian song stop to weep?
When was the last time you saw a Christian preacher stop preaching because of his tears.
In 1963, after President John Kennedy was assassinated in Dallas, Texas, CBS news anchor Walter Cronkite wept when he told the nation that the President was dead at a hospital in Dallas.
On the day when Jesus resurrected Lazarus from death, people were weeping at the tomb of Lazarus, and Jesus wept.
On the day when Jesus was crucified in Jerusalem, Peter, after denying the Lord three times, went out, and wept bitterly.
When Jesus was on His way to the cross to die, He said, Daughters of Jerusalem, weep not for me, but weep for yourselves, and for your children.
On the third day when the disciples went to the tomb and found not the body of Jesus, Mary Magdalene stood without at the sepulchre weeping.
Let us be very honest with today's topic:  we are living in a world without love because we are living in a world without God:  for God is love(I John 4:8)  But also, God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.  (I John 1:8)
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.  If we say we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.  (I John 1: 9,10)
The evidence of a world without love, therefore, is the absence of God.  For where is God exalted in the world today?  He is not!  God is not exalted in the United States, nor in any other nation.  What we see in the world is the evidence of pride.  As proud people, we are proud of our nations, proud of our governments, proud of our sports heroes, movie and music stars, and we are proud of our religions and religious leaders:  people without tears.  And we worship the elements of our pride, which are the works out of our minds from our imaginations as well as from the imaginations from others, planted in our minds.   In other words, people worship the things they create by themselves and for themselves.  And man created religion by himself and for himself:  and not for God!  The ministers of religion, however, want people to believe that God is in man's religion:  and He is not!  Ministers of religion also want people to believe that they are gods, just like Mercury and Jupiter were gods in the ancient Roman religion.
We are living in a world without love because we are living in a world without God.  Our only hope, therefore, is in knowing Christ, the Son of God, For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.  (John 3: 16)
   Amen.
