A NEW ROME

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.  (Ephesians 6:12)

Politics and religion are the engines of well-oiled machinery and masterful works of deception.  They are everything you look for or hope to get as in a new car, a new house, a new pair of shoes, or a new suit or dress.  Both are professionals in telling you what you want to hear and like to hear.  Both can send you home feeling good about yourself and with a new attitude about yourself, the future in front of you, and even your future beyond the grave.  They gain your trust, your confidence, your hope---while, at the same time, depleting you of any and all trust, confidence, hope, and faith in God.
For you see, politics and religion are not interested in God!  Neither do they want you to be interested in God.
If you will study the Bible and human history, side by side, you will see:  beginning with Nimrod and the tower of Babel, in the 11th chapter of the book of Genesis, human history has been dominated by the powers of politics and the powers of religion, working hand in hand and in concert, to keep people under the control of the powers of evil.  Governments have always had a pagain religion---always!  Therefore, evil people keep people living under the fear of governments as well as under the fear of the gods!  Your government will take care of you.  Your religion will take care of you.
When Christ was born in Bethlehem, Satan had the world by the tail:  both religion and politics were in his pocket.  But when Jesus stepped in the devil's sandbox, the devil was furious!  For even after the crucifixion of Christ, the devil knew that Jesus came out of the tomb and was living again.  This was a problem.  Now Satan influenced his evil people to kill the disciples and apostles of Christ in order to stop the message of Christ from reaching the uttermost parts of the world.
Three hundred years later and Christianity was still growing as the message of Christ was multiplying.  People were getting saved and churches were established throughout the Roman Empire.
Unable to win against Christians, the Roman Empire gave itself a fresh look by creating a new Rome.  Paganism went underground and Christianity became the state religion of the Roman Empire under Constantine the Great, the Roman emperor, and Rome became a religious vampire in the Roman Catholic Church, which was a reincarnation of all the elements of Nimrod and the tower of Babel.
Centuries later, Christians rebelled against the pagan church of Rome, and with the Protestant Reformation, they fled from the wrath of Roman's papal dictator, created Christian churches, and thereby brought the message of Christ to North America and to nations all over the world!
Today, however, we are witnessing Protestant churches return to the "mother church" of Rome, and we are also witnessing other Protestant churches desert Christ and lock arms with Muslims in the formation of another religion, Chrislam.
In 2009, Pope Benedict XVI said that Islam and the Catholic Church will merge and create a new religion.  Although the pope never said what the new religion will be; however, we can believe that Roman Catholicism will end at that time because the pope will embrace Sharia Law of Islam.  This will be the new religion of the new Rome that is rising as Rome will become the headquarters of a global religion:  a religion of evil.  And religion and politics will merge into a new system that has been called the New World Order.
As it is written, For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
This new Rome will produce the most evil empire the world has ever seen.
Jesus said, For then there shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of this world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.  (Matthew 24: 21)
   Amen.
