A HIDDEN RELIGION

As we have shared with you many times before, the Son of God, Jesus Christ, did not come to earth to launch a religion.
Today, however, Christianity is known as the largest religion in the world---in terms of total membership---and the problem that exists today is not in trying to understand how and when Christianity became a religion, but the difficulty that exists now is how to get Christ in Christianity.
Paganism is a word we may not like to address, and perhaps it is easy to think that paganism  included systems of beliefs of ancient people of long ago, but we, being modern, have overcome paganism.
   Wrong!
Paganism is as much active in the world today as it was with Nimrod at the tower of Babel thousands of years ago; for it is from Nimrod that paganism grew and spread around the world in many religious systems, even to infiltrate Christianity.
In the public's eyes, however, paganism is not clearly visible, for it has been carefully covered and hidden since the time of Nimrod:  for in religion, what you see is not necessarily what you get.  And thus paganism is a religion of deception.
Paganism includes the worship of the sun, moon, stars, and planets, and all of the orbital objects in the universe become gods.
Paganism worships dead people and even elevates dead people to the positions of gods, which includes the queens of heaven, which is prevalent in many religions today.
Paganism worships living people, which is why a religion can have a man-god and people can believe that the man is God.  What happens, however, when the man-god dies?  The god committee of the religion elects another man to be the man-god, and the man-god is worshipped as if he is God.  The man-god also has the power to determine the destiny of people after death.
Paganism has an even darker side, which is the worship of Satan.
Pagan Christianity is the worship of the sun god (whatever his name may be) which is directly from Nimrod at the tower of Babel.  The sun god is not the Son of God, the Lord Jesus Christ, but only appears to be Jesus in the eyes of the members of the congregations.
Paganism is so deceptive and crafty that people do not realize they are participating in the same religious system of Nimrod at the tower of Babel!
Jesus said, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.  (John 3: 3)
Protestantism began when people broke away from the Catholic Church, which was the state religion forced on people, and Christians of Protestantism believed in the born again experience of believers.  Protestants also believed in the Holy Bible.
Over the past two hundred years, however, what has happened within Protestantism?  Elements of paganism has crept into churches, in slow and in subtle ways, and where is Christ in Protestantism today?  Why have so many Christian churches departed Christ to join with Islam to create a new religion, Chrislam?  Even as we watch many ministers preach and teach on television, how many of them ever mention the born again way of believers, or that the Bible is holy?
Going further, how many members of churches today are more interested in their church or their denomination than they are in Christ?  And how many members of  Christian religions and Protestant churches today mock the Bible, or mock the born again experience of believers?
Even though Protestants may not worship the sun, the moon, and stars, perhaps they have added the replacement gods of pleasures, sporting events, music, television, movies, and going to church is nothing more than something religious to do; and talking about Christ outside of the church walls is taboo because even Christ has become no more than a religious figure as part of the environment of many churches within Protestantism.
Today, it is extremely difficult for the gospel of Christ to reach people because the minds of people are like scrambled eggs:  a mixture of religion with all of the elements of this world, scrambled together, which has created a barrier, or a defense, against Christ.
To me, the saddest verse in the Holy Bible is this one:
...they that dwell on the earth shall wonder, whose names were not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world...  (Revelation 17: 8)
For on judgment day, when people stand before God, they will be surprised that they are not going to heaven, which include people of religious Christianity:  people who have been in churches, but they never accepted Christ as their Lord and Saviour.  Instead of Christ, they accepted the gods of paganism:  a hidden religion within Christianity.
   Amen.
