When Jesus said Beware of false prophets, this is a warning from the Lord that we should pay attention to His words.
Please know that deceivers are not dumb and stupid people. They are not. They are usually highly educated people, persuasive speakers, cunning, sly, sneaky, and with sharp minds and tongues. They are apt to teach, apt to preach, and they are also skilled in writing convincing papers, teaching manuals, and books. And above all of their characteristics, they are evil people: their minds are trained from the teachings of darkness, not light.
Their purpose is to deceive people from knowing God, from knowing Christ, and to assist in the destruction of Christian churches as well as to lead Christians away from God's Word and thereby to lead people to accept false doctrines as truth. They work in slow and in subtle ways to subvert the truth of the Holy Bible.
Today, these deceivers are in many churches across the United States as well as in churches in other nations. They are also in Bible colleges and theological seminaries, working to deceive the minds of future teachers, ministers, pastors, and evangelists, and they also operate in Christian music as singers, musicians, and writers of songs.
If you, for example, belong to a church or religion that forbids you from the reading the Holy Bible, why does your church or religion do this? Why is the Bible the only book on your reading list that is forbidden? And why would your church or religion consider it a sin, or a violation of religious law, for you to read the Bible?
The answer is simple: to deceive you from knowing truth. To deceive you from gaining the knowledge of God and to deceive you from knowing the truth of Christ. Whereas, if you read the Bible and learn of Christ, you can be saved from your sins through Him, which means you will come out of your religion, and therefore your religion would lose a convert. For the purpose of false churches and religion is to capture souls for Satan. This is the truth.
False churches and religions are traps. They are snares. They are coffins. For as long as you remain in your religion, and not knowing the truth of God from the Holy Bible, you will remain there and die there: after which Satan gets your soul.
The leadership of false churches and religions are liars and deceivers. They work to persuade people to look with their eyes, to hear with their ears, and as long as they can keep people believing in everything that looks good and sounds good, that looks holy and sounds holy, they keep people trapped. They teach and preach false doctrines, which have been created out of their own imaginations.
For it is written, Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exaleth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; (II Corinthians 10: 5)
False doctrines are out of the imaginations of people that work against the knowledge of God and blind people from knowing the truth of Christ.
False doctrines are from false prophets, for God does not forbid people from reading the Holy Bible. For God wants His truth known and not hidden.
