IDOL WORSHIP

Religion is all about idolatry, the worship of idols and images of idols inside temples and shrines and even cathedrals.
These idols are manufactured from the imaginations of men, and the images of idols are also manufactured from the imaginations of men---manufactured from things of the earth.
Not only do people of religions worship idols and images of idols, they also worship men and women in priestly garments as holy people, or even as gods of religions.
Idols and images of idols are inventions that people can see with their eyes and touch with their hands, and their spiritual leaders are people they can see with their eyes and touch with their hands; therefore, as people see their leaders speaking words of forgiveness of sins, they believe it; and as they watch their leaders washing the sins of people by water baptism, they believe it.  Moreover, as they watch their leaders washing their own hands with water for the cleansing of their own sins, the people believe that their ministers and priests have the power to cleanse themselves of their own sins.
Furthermore, as the people continue to listen to the words of their spiritual leaders, telling them the ways to get to heaven, or to paradise, the people believe in their words and follow their prescriptions.
Worldwide, people of religions have idols and images of idols in every nation under the sun.  None of these idols are living, and neither have they ever lived.  Yet people still bow to them and worship them as if they are real---as if these objects of manufacturing have supernatural powers.
At the same time, people of religions bow to certain men and women---the order of priests and priestesses---as if they are holy people.  And they teach their children to do likewise.
Perhaps this is a good time to stop and consider a question:
If religion is everything that people need, and with religions all over the world, why is violence and evil consuming the world in every nation under the sun?  Violence and evil continue to flourish while people remain steadfast in idol worship within religions all over the world!
Secondly, have you noticed how much attention Pope Francis has received ever since a puff of white smoke went up from the Vatican chimney?  Pope Francis is getting the attention of the world while the pope directs the eyes of the world to see the Catholic Church.  Pope Francis has not said a word about faith in Christ for salvation, has he?  Pope Francis, therefore, is all about the reformation of the Catholic Church and not for the reformation of the hearts of people in Christ Jesus the Lord. Consequently, Pope Francis is the chief of idol worship, for people bow to him instead of bowing to Almighty God, Creator of the universe.
By now, people should be able to see and understand that Satan is the father of religions on the face of the earth, and that Satan is the instigator of idol worship.  Satan, therefore, hides himself in religions and watches while people worship idols---while violence and evil continue to multiply.
Religion, therefore, is the habitat of evil because religion is the habitat of the devil!
As Christians, however, we have been delivered from the power of religion because of the power of Jesus Christ.  We have also been delivered from the worship of idols because of the power of Jesus Christ.  As such, our faith is firmly planted in Christ as well as planted in the Word of the Lord, for it is written:
Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:
Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:
But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:
And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.
Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:
      That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;
And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
      (Philippians 2: 5-10)
