A THIN LINE

There was a time when the United States led the world in the production of food, shelter, clothing, automobiles, and churches.
The United States has been the greatest nation in the history of the world, for no other kingdom has ever equaled this nation in its power to achieve in virtually every endeavor that people have put their minds to do.
Today, however, the United States is consumed by itself because of its never-ending thirst for the consumption of the pleasures of life.
A lie is so easy to believe that people will believe it as truth.
Truth is so easy to believe that people will believe it as a lie.
The minds of many people have been conditioned to believe in lies as truth, so that when they hear truth they will believe they are hearing a lie.
Thus, we should be able to believe that there is a thin line between truth and lies, just as there is also a fine line between choosing good and choosing evil.
People can hear truth and believe truth, but fear will keep them from accepting truth and making it their own.  The fear they fear is the fear of the unknown of stepping across the thin line.
Accepting truth requires a step of faith:  to take that step across the thin line and believe that this is a step in the right direction; for truth is an unknown world to people who have been living in a comfort zone in a world of  lies.
To believe in Christ, therefore, is to take a step of faith and cross over the thin line.  For it is God's will for all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth. (1st Timothy 2: 4)
Christ is truth and we can have the knowledge of truth by trusting in Him; for, outside of Christ, there is no truth in the world that surrounds us.
But when we take that step of faith and cross the thin line, Christ embraces us and makes us His own, just as we embrace Christ and make Christ our own:  Him in us and us in Him.
Evil, however, at first appears as icing on a cake as people are deceived by their own eyes; for they do not know that everything beneath the icing is devil's food.
Religion, also, at first appears as icing on a cake as people are deceived by their own eyes; for they do not know that everything beneath the icing is devil's food.
Whereas, if people would have the Word of the Lord in their hearts, then they could say as King David said,
Thy word have I hid in mine heart that I might not sin against thee. (Psalm 119: 11)
By knowing the Bible, then we can also know and believe that Satan has wrapped himself in the cloaks of religion, for all religions of the earth are at war against God, against Christ, and against the Word of the Lord.
All that has happened to the United States is the same that has happened in other nations:
people have been feasting on the icing of the cakes---the cakes of the pleasures of life as well as the cakes of religion---and not from the table of God.
In closing, let me say that the only thing that is real in this world is Jesus Christ.  For everything we see with our eyes is corrupted, everything else is temporary, and everything else will pass away.
Knowing Christ is only a thin line away.  Reach out to Him and He will reach out to you.  But be quick about it:  we don't have all day.  For we are now in the eleventh hour and when the clock strikes midnight time will be no more.
We cannot see the thin line, but Christ can see through it.
