INTERNET EVANGELISM

"Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:  teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you:  and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world."   (Matthew 28: 19-20)

   To better understand the depth of evil that is in the minds of people, the number one topical search on the internet is pornography, making this the chief competition of the Gospel of Christ on the worldwide web.
      "But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:  in whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them."  (2nd Corinthians 4: 3-4)
   Because of the internet, however, the Gospel of Christ has the potential of reaching an audience of more than one billion people worldwide, meaning that more people will have the opportunity to hear about Christ on the worldwide web than from any other source.
   English is also the number one language on the internet, followed by Chinese.
   According to The Christian Post, "online evangelism is producing real disciples of Christ."
   Contributing Editor, Craig von Busech of the Christian Broadcasting Network writes:  "Of the 60 million web sites, hundreds of thousands are Christian."
   Not Ashamed of the Gospel asks the question:  "Are you engaging in this phenomenon that is taking the world by surprise?"
   Not Ashamed of the Gospel also lists five reasons why internet evangelism is the next big thing:
      1)  technology has become extremely affordable;
      2)  internet evangelism can reach millions of people;
      3)  it's cheap;
      4)  people love to share;
      5)  non-Christians are searching for God.
   There are also hundreds of online churches where people can learn about Christ and discipleship training, receive counseling, and acquire study materials.
   The Bible is also available online and free of charge at www.bible.com
   In addition, there are hundreds if not thousands of Christian bloggers, internet radio, podcasts, and video presentations on YouTube.
      "But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end:  many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased."  (Daniel 12: 4)
   Knowledge has therefore increased in the 21st Century and many people are being saved worldwide because of the Gospel of Christ on the internet.
      "Wherefore he is able to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he liveth to make intercession for them."  (Hebrews 7: 25)
