What is there about truth that is difficult for people to accept?
There are three answers to this question:
ONE: For thousands of years, the minds of people have been hidden from truth by the power of religion. Thus, it is in religion where people have been seduced to believe that it is the place to go and receive an alternative method of reaching a higher power, a place to receive forgiveness of sin, and a place in which to gain heaven. As such, the minds and imaginations of people abide in a world of fantasy and make-believe by the persuasive power of human personalities in the powerful position as head of religion: as ministers and priests take on God-like characteristics in order to deceive people to following them. And people, being seduced, follow them and do their will.
SECONDLY: For thousands of years, the minds of people have been hidden from truth by the power of politics: as leaders of human governments convince people that their governments will take care of them. Led by people with charming personalities, trustworthy, and promising to lead people out of ashes and to new frontiers, especially with the message of peace and prosperity. Like religion, however, the leaders of politics want to rule and dominate people, while their brothers in religion do likewise. Because of their power of persuasion, politicians create a world of fantasy and make-believe in the minds and imaginations of people, and people, being seduced, follow them and do their will.
THIRDLY: Over the past sixty years, the minds of people have been hidden from truth by the power of electronic entertainment: by movies, television, books, and music. And people, being seduced, follow the messages and messengers of movies, television, books, and music as people abide in a world of fantasy and make-believe.
Added together, the world of religion, politics, and entertainment operate as a tripod, or a three-legged stool: as each of them, working together (though they appear to be independent) to seduce the minds and imaginations of people to accept a world of fantasy and make-believe.
Added together, these three work together to divert the minds of people from Almighty God: and to accept the knowledge of religion, politics, and entertainment as truth instead of God: and to convince people that man has a better way, that man can fix all human problems, and that man will arise to be invincible: that man will eliminate poverty, disease, sickness, and pave his own highway to heaven, thus opening a New Age by a New World Order.
What a trap!
This system of deception worked for Nimrod at the Tower of Babel, it has worked for thousands of years, in Rome and in other cities, and it is working even now all across the earth.
This system is a childlike game of fantasy and make-believe, a game that we call Follow the Leader.
But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them. (II Corinthians 4: 3, 4)
